Yeah - some of the boys headed over to Les Arcs midweek when the cabin fever set in! There were 10 of us, and there were one or two personality clashes lol.

It wasn't much Keith - maybe about 70 quid each based on ten of us? It was a top chalet, but we got burgled on the last but one night 8 of the 10 bikes got lifted - only my Cove and a spesh left behind!

Police couldnt give a flying fuck, so be warned - take decent locks!!!

Yikes! thats not cool! Is there scope there to do uphill as well as downhill? If not I may jsut leave the stumpy behind and hire a big travel bike when I get there.

Did they get nicked out of the inside of the chalet or a garage? Hope you were insured!

I took a header last week and ended up with this to show for it

Pedal caught on a rock whilst going very fast and stopped the bike almost dead - I felt like superman for a second or so before I hit the ground!

lol. someone i know went to morzine in the summer just gone and did one of the DH runs on his XC bike with little hayes rotors. Anyway, right at the bottom of the run, he stopped, got off the bike and leaned it against himself, and where the rotor was SOOOO hot where he had been dragging the brakes down, it branded his leg! now he has a Hayes rotor scar! how cool

Scars are class! Every one tells a story lol

I have one normal shoulder and one that looks like arnies - Separated it last year and now my collarbone sticks up a mile on top of it

Keith - They were locked in that garage, and locked together. The cnuts must have had a van. Everyone was insured to some extent, but nobody was insured fully (except the two of us who's bikes DIDNT get nicked!). It was a nightmare really. One of the lads was on a borrowed Rocky Mountain RM-9 in flame paint - he reckons it was one of about 12 with that paint. Imagine having to tell your mate it got nicked!! It really was the last thing we thought of

There's endless scope for whatever kind of riding you want. I usually prefer your kind of riding really, so a week of FR/DH made a nice change. It was bloody hot in armour and full facers in 30+ temps though! XC was not an option, but sweating was mandatory

You descend into Morzine on your last run, and everyone heads to Bar Robinson. They only sell one drink, its a beer called Mutzig, and its total rocket fuel! It's mint - loads of smart bikes piled up in the courtyard, and everyone getting hammered on the evil Mutzig You're into your second pint before the rush from the DH stops

Riding into the bars in Morzine sounds soooooooo cool !!
I'm used to high temps now so that wouldnt bother me too much.

A friend of mine crashed heavily the other week wearing a full face helmet and body armour. His handlebar end went betwen the gap in the helmet and smacked him in the face jsut to the right of his eye. He had to go for an operation!
