sticker paul, mate the 88 cars had red headlight stripes and some had white ones , i personally liked teh yellow ones wich they also used,

hi mate,
the teams were very limited to that modd they where aloud to do, as per the reg for raceing,
modded t4 to whot spec they could get away with, eight injectors ect,
basiclly the rs500, 500 bhp spec commonley used now,
the eggenburger cars were not as powerfull as the rouse cars but still over 500 bhp,
where they differerd was the suspention, and engine management as the eggenburger cars where the only rs500 useing air injectors back in 1987,
the rouse prepered labatts car was rated at 550 bhp at the end of play,
both cars limited by how munch air the t4 could flow,

2 bar race trim,
and i have seen 2.9 bar for qualifying with speed of up to 200 mph at bathurst down the mountain,
dick johnson in australia raced the sierra rs500 untill 1992 and so developed it further, he was running 2.8 bar during the races! so about 600 plus and under 100 kilos he was very fast only slowed by the narrow rear 10" tyres he had to run.
i beleive the record was 202 mph,
they also used the old gun hoo qualifing engines with silley power they where like grenades, with the pin just in!

Absolutely fantastic car with history - Well done.
Would be great to see that running at the Goodwood Festival of Speed next year - I'm sure they'd love to have you - running up the hill behind a Zachspeed Capri would look awesome.
Congrats!!!!

hi all,
whot you have to remember is i have to be invited to go to goodwood and ford fair ect,
its not just a case of turning up at the gate, and saying let me inn look whot i have on my trailer
most peeps do not know the difference between an eggenburger rs500 and a 1.3 sierra two door!!
ford lovers like us know how important these cars are and how its will be nice to still have some left in the years to come, as allready most are broken for spares or converted for different types of motorsport and then raced to death,
there also the cars which have been reshelled and pretending to be original examples, which only the peeps in the know can spot,
the old rule of thumb do not buy anything unless you do your home work,
