Default OMP Brake Pads--Anyone have views on them??

The reason why i ask is i am running a 307 brake set-up on my 205.

You cant get many uprated pads for the 307 calipers and OMP are ones that do offer this

What are they like anyone??

Baring in mind the 307 brake set-up that i have is made for a heavy car, but fitted on the 205 it is superb even with standard pads...

is that the best make you can get Mark.

Think they might get a bit hot on track myself and you may need better pads to cope.

What other calipers fit that you can get good padsfor, may be worth swapping over.

Dave

the 307 set-up is EXACTLY the same set-up as the 206 GTi 180 and they are pretty good standard on a light car.

Alot of 205 track peeps use the standard pads with this set-up and its fine, no fade at all.

But i just wanted a bit of an uprated pad

look on www.106rallye.co.uk/newforum

Theres a big thread on there about them, just about everybody rate them as wank, with LOADS of brake dust

I cant remember the exact ones but mintex are ment to be rated as the best option

If i had of known i would have offered you my wilwood 4pots, they would have bolted straight on your car, sold now though

The 307 brakes he has are more then uptp the job, the cars so light that you just dont need them, alot of people with 106's / 205's find that 4 pots etc etc just are'nt needed.

I had willwood 4pots on my 1150kg 206, and it was overkill

Best budget option would be some brembo's of a 406coupe, the calipers go on ebay for about 200-300, and wud bolt straight on ur car with ur 285mm discs

if you've got money to burn though get some new wilwoods, mine were wicked
