Id estimate about 12.5 quarter at about 120-125mph (depends a lot on tyre choice etc though of course!)

Will beat a 500bhp cossie in some circumstances and lose to it in others.

Through 2nd and 3rd from a rolling start it would beat you i should think, but not by much.

If it makes 320@wheels, then i should think its more than 360bhp, 11% seems very conservative for transmission losses.

Chip,

AVA large rollers result in a low loss to the wheels. Not comparable with regular rolling road losses from fly to wheels.

Euan, whose car are we talking about?

Might result in less lot as the wheels themselves, but wont effect transmission losses as thats before it gets to the rollers.

Sorry it was a hashed up reply as I am at work and not able to be obviously on here.

Obviously loss from engine to gearbox is not dependent on r/r. However people always talk of using a wheels figure and then estimating the flywheel figure from there. This estimate should take into account the way the size of rollers effect the original wheels reading.

either way im interested in seeing this car when its completed. I think it might be the white one they have had in there for a while?

Hmm.. maybe it will be a black one! I know its on its way to a similar engine spec.

Either way, that much bhp if its fwd is madness! Look at sunny and the other guy with the black fezza!

What gearbox does an RST with this much power use? obviously the insides of the std one won't cope.

Think you will be fine, unless it's a very very trick RST, i.e. with proper suspension and a tractable engine etc.! Never yet seen a RST with my own eyes beat a 12.84 something quarter mile.......

Besides, how fast do you want to go

Less than we have currently in the astra which is ligther than a RST

I cant see a problem with it.

With 350bhp (ish) before it was running 12.6 @ 121mph

Good fun i reckon
