Serious post. Any "money men" on here? investments
I will have £75000 to invest and want a monthly payment from it, where pays well but is 100% safe? ING account maybe?

Not a "money man" yet... but I would buy a cheap house... rent it out to DSS or something... that way you have a sound investment and also monthly rent coming in.

Buy premium bonds with it
If you have a trusted partner, bung another 30K into their name
Save the rest
Personally, for 75K I'd be looking at other things to invest in but if you want totally risk free, then there's not that many options.

With that sort of cash, once I'd put money into the options above, I'd consider an Investment Bond.

I would buy 3 limousines, pay 3 drivers, 1 administrator and treble your money within a year!
60k between two people in premium bonds is a very good non risk idea.
My mom & dad have 20k worth of premium bonds each. They win £50 every month near enough. Sometimes three lots of £50 wins.

I work for HSBC mate and personally would not give them the time of day!All they are interested in is making money for themselves,the customers cash is the last thing they are interested in!
Try an independant financial adviser they should be able to point you in the right direction!

Problem is i need a monthly figure back from it, not once every year or even maybe if i win! (premium bonds)
IF i put it with ING i get about £280 a month every month but wondered if there is any others offering more interest?

All banks are the same , shit !! they are only interested in making money for themselves, very true, although id rather have the money in their account than in my safe in the house !!

I'd say letting out a property to DSS is sound. That way you def get your monthly rent no worries. I'm just lettin a flat at teh moment but it's too nice for DSS 
But if i had a house that i hadn't spent ages doin up then i reckon letting to DSS is the way forward...

I would advise you stick £35k into an ING and invest the remaining £40k in a flat in Prague. The real killings that were to be made there may have passed but the property market there is still on the up. A £40k flat on the east of the river will net you £75pw.

Take the cash a buy a decent place aboard in an up and comming country, let it out for X amount of years untill your ready to sell or move in.
for £33,000 you can buy a 7 bedroom summerhouse made from marble within one year the price of the place would increase by X amount. If you buy in the right place within 5 years your place could be worth loads
Also some countrys have just introduced their own type of long term mortgage this has so many options if you take exchange rates into account

yeah thats thing u can lose out big style with shares or make good money. I doubled my money in 2 months with shares! i pulled it out then and my family kept theres in and then it crashed Think only about now 2 years after they have got back to just above original invest level!

Its that easy is it???
One of my best mates has a Limo business. Trust me, its NOT like you think it is.
The hardest part is getting use out of the Limos during the weekdays and nights other than fridays and saturdays
Treble your money within the year, thats VERY funny and SOOOO wrong
I like Cams suggestion, another place you could consider is Northern Cyprus. Its a gamble though. Personally I think you will make money if Turkey get accepted in EU and If they ever start flying direct there officially. Property abroad can be risky and scary though!
I still like property in the right areas in the UK though.... nice flat in right area and just rent the fooker ooot.

2 things i would say....
buy a bundle of O2 shares @ 155 pence........i bought em at 70pence...(today they are 162pence)
secondly , buy a 1 bed/ 2bed flat or masionette (approx 100k value) and stick 10/15 k down per property and use the banks money to fund the rest....go for interest payments only....u manage the lettings etc, and thats the best way ,
but this is only advice!!!

being honest there is risk in everything except a bank but than the return is not good.
There is many places you can invest money but than there is a risk for you to make a loss.
If it was me i would spread the money. break it in to 4 amounts and invest them all differently.

Why is property not an option?
Porkie your right mate!
This is one of the best investments that you could do with the money as the cost of property in Turkey is on a Major increase. Hopefully they wont join the EU then the property will be worth even more the way things are going at the mo.
