I'd talke either the Audi or the Golf..........same bloody things! Exact same engines etc!

And would piss all over a shonky piece of french crap! oh and then there's the electrical faults with the pug

If you get any of the VAG motors, Make sure you get it chipped by someone like AMD or Jabbasport ASAP mate...........You'll be grinning ear to ear!

PS my missus has the A3 1.8T AMD chipped & its great fun!

Glen,

I got her's chipped as part of a group buy off Audisport.net IIRC it was Ł425 inc VAT. the result of that was from 150bhp to 202bhp, can't remember what the torque was standard but it ended up a 224!

Pulls like a train.

PS it also has a cat back stainless Sebring exhaust.

Hodgie,

My missus would get obliterated by my cossie if i raced her.........And i'm sure i'd embarass all 3 the same!!

Pound for pound tuning the VAGs win hands down, oh and a set of good sprinngs transforms the audi BTW!

Well when i drove the Audi i couldn't believe it was 150BHP, it pulled like a train.

And i might be alittle snobby here but if i has keys to an Audi , golf & the pug............I'd go to the audi everytime!

PS the audi feels sssoooo nice to drive, even with 70K on the clocks! Box still tight, doesn't loose a drop of oil.

Lets see a 70K pug do that.

Agree with the springs comment

Put a set of springs on my A4 and it transformed it. I have 120k on the clocks on it and it still drives nice and tight with no rattles or anything.

And it's nice to say I drive an Audi rather than Escort and Fiesta RS Turbo's

The Audi is a great car, but it wont get near the 306 round track, on the lanes, or round the roundabouts.
