Default Wasps?

Ok....a bit of a random topic here.
How many should I spot around my upstairs before I can start to console myself with the idea I'm unknowingly breeding them?
One in the bathroom yesterday...it died....two on the window now? so definately 3 already?
Is there any specific conditions they need to live that I could take away? lol
Hopefully one of you will be some sort of bee keeping wasp loving idiot who'll come and take them off my hands?

there's too many too kill!....I don't want them splattered on the curtain!
They'll bring their cronies over to piss me off if I start hacking away at them with shoes and torches

yes but my point is....where would the hive be...I don't live in a shoebox there isn't really a designated hive building corner....hence wanting info on climate they like etc....

bloody amatuers....lmfao I jest

To be honest im not sure if they are just doing the 'coming inside in the warm to die' thing en mass...or whether they are actually breeding in my house

...and the checking up thing? God no...I probably wouldn't want to see anything if it's bad anyway! ...he uses my pc to log on here and the transition from my account to his regularly means you never know who you are logged in as....ebay is the same

Check up in the loft mate ... If they are thinking about coming in, they will be coming in around the eaves somewhere. 3 or 4 every day is the usual sign.
I had one a few years ago .. made a small football-sized disgusting looking nest, just laying on the insulation in the loft.
Just waited til it was cold and dark, dressed up well, went up the ladder and put a sheet clean around it and stuck it in a binbag.
Next day chucked the whole lot on a fire. Few crawlies left in the roof .. spray, and block the hole.

I used to be a pest control tech for a living (now im a pest control tech on here, how ironic )

Have a look outside and see if theres any holes in the pointing between the brickwork, also as Al Bags said have a wander in the loft for a look.

Im sure you can buy a strong spray from B&Q these days, if theres a nest in the loft then one trick is to take a flash light, and shine it on the nest, then get the spray and spray into the beam of light so as the wasps fly towards the torch they get covered in the stuff, the chemical i used to use was that strong they used to instantyl drop to the floor

But at this time of year they will all be dead soon anyway

Loft conversion.....so no risk of dodgy holes in roof into nice warm attic

We had a nest in our old house, was up in the loft as mentioned, ideal place for them to hibernate, or whatever they do, bad thing for my old chap is that if he gets stung he's gotta inject himself with adreniline pdq or he's dead Crazy fool still got rid of em tho
