AJ...i can easily make it full RWD by using the Saff i got BUT i'd rather have the 4x4 option...how did the GRP A or WRC cars acheive this as i assume they where controllable?

Well technically if you took the front driveshafts out it would be RWD only, but i think a T5 is a better idea!

Skyline box is the only one that springs to mind as switchable that would be realistic to fit.

think the rally cars used active diffs etc so probably a bit pricey for a road car

Should imagine you could leave the 4x4 sump on if you take the front drive shafts out.

Not sure about using the mt75 box though as the diff oil would leak with no front prop in it,you could chop the end of and plug it.

Fitting a 2wd box will need a new mounting point sorting out as its in a different place, only one side.

I would of thought the viscous coupling in the box would of burnt itself out with no drive to the front?

as its still going to have the 33/67 or whatever it was split isnt it?

I struggle to understand how people even think you can just front driveshafts out and run 2wd... ??
what do you think the centre diff will do in those circumstances??

WRC cars had fully controllable electronic diffs, so could shut off drive to 1 or 2 wheels if damaged.

phil just slap a proper T5 box from brom in it, 4wd aint the best idea ( unless ya still got it riding the big foot suspension hight ya had )

rwd escos is the best thing do be done to em, cant see the point in having a trick car and a 3k box that still dies (how many times porkie done his quaife )

t5 and have fun,,,,,,,,,,,,, but then as ya aint gonna use it YOU could unplug the drive shafts and call is 2wd and there would be no problems with your car, cant do damage to it by talking about how good it drives whilst the car sits in a nice garage

phil just think how cool a escos looks going sideways down the high street
