RST Starter motor - How many wires? (PICS!!)
Finally got my engine back in and running last night (thanks to Nutter, see resto thread later ) but the battery light stays on very dim. There are two wires that I am sure normaly connect to the starter motor that we left off, could this be coursing the battery light? if so what the hell are the for as the stater works fine without them?
Oh and checked all connections to alternator and they seem fine.
Cheers,
Dan

There is a big fat wire that goes between the starter and the alternator, then to the battery, then a little wire onto the starter solenoid, it should go 12v when you crank the engine, if you have a battery light on it could be a faulty alternator, there is a little wire on the alternator that goes 12v live when it doesn't charge aswell (I think)
