Have u listented to the whole albums? Velvet Morning is probably one of my all time favorite songs, especially half 5 in the morning watchin the sunrise!!!

i agree with ya churchy, the verve shouldnt have split up, but richard ashcroft was the verve, the rest were just hired help (even if they said they was mates) 
the kaiser cheifs are imo the only band out there who will get as near to oasis. they got the tunes, they got the attitude and there songs are lively in yer face rock and roll songs.
bands like coldplay aint got a chance, chris martin is a great songwriter dont get me wrong. but hes a twat, always moaning about some 3rd world country hes never been to or heard of until bob geldof gets involved.

Oasis were good once but havent made a decent album for ages, their behind the times, British music as evolved and changed alot since they started, the majority of their fans and album buyers are people who were around when def maybe was out (mid to late 20's), not new music listeners who think its just drivel. Not the best band of the last 10 years that is for sure, Radiohead have far better talent/songwriting/success compared to oasis.
I would rank the Verve above them aswell, I dont understand how fellow mancs the Doves havent took off, they are awesome (even better live) their not arrogant twats, play proper anthems and their songwriting is in another league compared to oasis doesnt make sense
personally i would also rank them above oasis, along with a few others.

and to be honest they did an encore at the gig i went to this summer
morning glory wasnt the best album, was just full of anthems that were right for that "britpop" era i admit be here now and giants werent the greatest of albums to follow but then again how do u follow definitely maybe which is a probably the best album since the beatles were about. oasis are definitely back in my book u only have to listen to dont believe the truth to realise it. the songs on that album are out of this world. the importance of being idle is probably gonna be an all time fave oasis song. the meaning of soul, liam wrote that and hes spose to have no talent!!!

its not an encore song anyway, normally its dont look back in anger/ champagne supernova, the rock and roll star and then they smash it with my generation
and bloc party are good, but lets not forget they look like a bunch of students who went on university challenge
and alps pacino, ive heard a lot worse albums then dont believe the truth this year, so think u should book an appointment down the docs and get the wax washed out yer ears

im an oasis fan yes but this album is good, as i said earlier in the post be here now and standing on the shoulder of giants were shit, so im not gonna say its a good album just cos its oasis.

Well each to there own i suppose but imo its shit same old stuff just with no passion. The whole album is as if it was just churned out just for the sake of it. I think they should gracefully retire before they are known as the hasbeens, if thats not already the case

think we'll just have to agree to disagree as i think some of the new songs are awesome. there not many better songs out this year than the importance of being idle.
and to be honest theyre probably making music that they would listen to, not what would would make people like u happy. go see them live cos that is why there a fuckin good band!!!
