Default whats the correct way to mop a car

as title please, i have a mop etc, and was wondering if there is a right or wrong way to mop a car, i was watching "ed" from wheeler dealers mop an MG and he used water on the mop whilst he was using the compond, is this done with every compond or only certain ones

The water is to keep it moist and to stop you burning the paint, dont put loads of compound on as it will make a right mess and will take ages to clean lol.

Thats about it really, good luck

Its not to difficult to do tbh.

I use to do a two stage mop without water

Once with a hard pad and hard compound,
then go over with a soft mop and a soft compound

Obviously takes longer but prevents the car getting swirl marks.

You dont need water, but some peeps prefer to use it.....

Just stay away from rubbers/black mouldings etc etc,and you will be fine....

Use a GOOD hand glaze or was before you wash it too!!!

i have a few hints and tips for mopping it is a very hard thing to do proper and a very easy thing to do shit

im afraid i cant tell you everything but my advise would be to use to water as you have no experiance plus as above do not go near plastics OR the edge of panels too much

plus the biggest hint of all ........ do not plug it in when you have it resting on the roof

good luck matey
