Sounds like an Air Leak to me. I can have held nearly 2 Bar on a -34, so there must be something wrong.

I would imagine that there is a hose clip loose somewhere or perhaps a gaping hole in your Intercooler.

A T34 with 0.48 exhaust housing and non cut back turbine wheel will only manage to hold 1.5 bar higher in the revs on a good cosworth engine.

This is down to increasing back pressure due to the restrictive turbine housing and wheel and the fact the engine consumes more air than the turbo can supply to give any more top end boost than 1.5 bar.

karl - i have t34 (cut back blades) with 63 housing, cams and mildly ported head, greys, 7.2cr etc, and boost is 2 bar between say 3.5-5.5k but drops to 1.5bar later. when you talk about 'holding boost' what exactly does that mean? is it a spike of say 1 second or what is this *spike*, cos mine is stable at whatever rpm we are talking but simply drops off later in the rev range. the engine has been live mapped as well.
