Default a bit of smoke

the car runs fine its just when if i have been gunning it a bit and i come up to some traffic and i come off the throttle and coast for a bit and then gun it again i then get a big puff of smoke and then it goes away, anyone any ideas?

Is your oil level on maxium or over filled? might be just breathing heavy Steve

mine is just the same only chucks a bit out the first time you boot it, infact i say a bit its more of a cloud but it looks more greyish black than it does blue! the second time you boot it its ok but if you leave it for a while and just drive sedately then boot it again it puffs a cloud again.

wouldnt guides be more on overrun rather that on throttle?

could it be oil collected in the hoses whilst your not on boost and then when you boot it it all gets pushed into the engine??? so mabe turbo seals

As far as my knowlage goes rings generally cause a car to smoke all the time not just under particular conditions i.e. when you first give it some!! I hope its not rings my pockets are not deep enough for that at the moment.

Cheers. Think i'll try the stem seals first as they seem to be the easiest to change. Anyone any idea on price for a set?

I think its overfilled with oil, 2/3 to 1/2 is recommended apparently!
