Steve,
If you read my previous posts then you will understand that the reason for having ALS on my car is to overcome the lag caused by the slow gear-change inflicted by the MT75 box...

Even on cars with smallest turbos there is this efect when after gearchange boost gauge goes up. You don't getthat with ALS on, it just is there. (I've been in Impreza boosting 0.9 bar at idle when stationary so I experienced what it means)

OK, so back to the original context of the thread.

Tony is enquiring about the necessity/method of ALS on a ROAD Car, that might see the occassional Trackday.........

Onward........

Steve,
Then JayBs must have been magical, as I have the Reyland solid bushing shift kit and if you change too quickly, all you do is beat the synchros. And it is nowhere near as quick as my T5 was .

Christian,
Given the amount of track days that Tony does, then it would just be a gimick for him, but I understand that this is why he wants it anyway .

Thanks Christian.......

Mike - I will deffinatly be in touch this week. I was hoping for some decent suggestions as the best way to do it, but this thread is mostly full of crap now

Have you got any ideas?

Here is the story... I can run ALS, I have the bits to run ALS (except the throttle body side of things) so I am going to have ALS. It's a road car that will be used on track and at the pod etc. I know the risks, so what it has to do with all the people "knocking" ALS, I don't know.

But thank you for the few decent/ helpful replies on here
