Is is just me or are these welded on?
Right, trying to get the wing off on a mates Saff and hadnt really noticed it but it seems to be welded on. 
If it is then how on earth do you take 1 off?
Wheres the nuts and bolts to it supposed to be? This is the drivers side wing.

they are welded and you can get a spot weld remover.
Sand the paint off the inner wing were the welds are so you can see them, get a spot weld remover, a drill bit with a sleave around it, when you drill out the weld the sleave cuts out the metal around it so it will lift off.
Easy!

Dave, in that case, would there be holes left in the inner wing where the welds had been drilled if the car had had a wing fitted?

WTF ......... so this aint exactly THAT sytraight forward then!!! 
Well i would let him get on with it himself but the problem is that i actually need the wing for mine so i cant really balls it up.
I think im almost with it here so il have a proper look and see what i can do.
But for the moment i have an angle grinder and a big chisel? Would these really work? Or would that be madness to a certain extent?

Air chisel and take the wing off in 2 min but fook trying to fit it back on another car
Seriosly though I once tried to fit wings that were new but once fitted to another car I had bought and it was a waste of time TBH so spend the cash and get some new ones

The spot weld drill is shaped like a wood drill bit it cuts on the outer edge and a small point in the middle aligns it, i replace a wing and front panel on my old MK2 you can always drill the hole completly out and fill with weld if you'r good enough with the welder, you'll probally need to remove the door aswell to get to the welds this can be a bitch as the door pins wear and are bastards to get out, you'll need someone to hold the door and take the weight of the hinge while you batter the pin out.
