What colours were availble in series 1? A mate of mine has a black one and is unsure if it is genuine.

 

Unless its Princess Diana old one its pretty unlucky.

 

It will not be a genuine black from Ford. Check the coloured vin plate..it will have "Weiss" on there somewhere. There is another black S1 around tho. I saw it at traxx last weekend, but he disappeared before I had chance to go have a look at it.

The only colour the S1 was available in was Diamond white:

UNLESS you were Princess Diana who got a black one (with 5 bar grill) direct from Ford.
There was ONE grey car which is currently being rebuilt after having resto work carried out.
There was also one RED S1 which was painted by Ford and used as a promo car back in the Datapost Touring Car days.

Prob forgotten a bit of info on these ones, sure someone will add more info.

So to answer your question for your mate, it is not originally Black from Ford.
Stick some pics of it up tho. Would be good to see how another non-white S1 looks compared to the originals.

 

quite a few people have changed the colours and put the stripes back on them,, ive seen a few black red and grey ones,, i saw an imperial blue one a few weeks ago with white stripes and white wheelson it and it looked the bollox

 

There was a blue one built as well for the TV series CATS EYES. Although this was originally a white car that Ford stripped and repainted

hes wont be from factory, infact im sure princess dianas was resprayd by fords too

but that wont be by ford but will still look the bollox

I 'built' a black one about 10 years ago looked well sweet

 

it was parked near the sea,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, bet its rotted to a pile of dust

or some idiot was showing off how fast it was and his next mod was a front mounted lampost

No mate..what I meant was just use your digi cam to take a photo of the photos, then 'post' them up on the board: photobucket-stylie.

 

I see what the confusion was reading my original reply...by posting/sending them to me I meant email them, not physically snail-mail post them in an envelope.
