Needs must and my old Pace has just been snapped up on ebay
Really didn't want to sell it, but the car now comes first.

I like the look of the frame but if you get a new full sus bike you wont miss the old hardtail. Is the Pace bike the same brand as the Fork manufacturer?

I let it go for £550
Its over 13 years old but you wouldn't think it.
Keith, yes Pace still make the frames I believe but they are more renowned worldwide for their forks.

The reason it went for so much is it's a proper piece of engineering. Truly one of THE defining mountainbike frames....much less compromised than the later ones.
Lovely bike.
Lovely bike.

Maria,
You could ask the same about an Escort Cossie. Its old out-dated technology but some people out there will be 20k+ for a car thats nothing like as good as an Evo.
Desn't mean it isn't worth 20k tho

That frame is as good as any XC frame made today.

Hi Maria, they are all hand made and I think that they made less than 100 per year back then. As stated above, they were way ahead of their time. If it was a car they would have to give it it's own fridge on the top gear cool wall

Those bikes are awesome. Always wanted an RC200 with RC35 forks. Truely stunning bike.
Give me a hardtail over a full suspension bike any day. Love getting the missus' rigid Specialised out for a play. A bit of retro mountainbiking. Downhilling on a rigid bike just tests you so much
