Don't you just love it when someone comes out with a pack of lies when trying to sell you a car.

Went to see a MK6/7 escort, R plate, had aftermarket alloys, cone filter, and bucket seats for a start. The engine was missing like mad, and the guy says, it needs a spark plug!!! at this point i decided i didn't want the car and was just going to mess with him for lying to me (common problem with early zetecs was sticking valves)

it was up at 1,895 so i said welll with the missing i would only offer £1,400, he said 1,450, so i said, you knocking that much off for a spark plug??

The i noticed it had had a new bumper and wing, so asked if it had a new bumper and wing, no was the reply!!! so I said, that's funny, there is over spray everywhere and i saw you at the ford spares dealers a couple of weeks ago buying the front bumper, that was actuallty true aswell!!

He says, no wasn't me, this car has been in my family for years, it was my brothers car, so i pointed out the salvage actioneers sticker on the window screen that he hadn't bothered to take off!!

Left him as he said ok £1400 if you buy it now because i have a lady coming back in the morning who wants it!!!

Still there weeks later, but someone bought it eventually!!

I hate it when people say how great the car is then when you view it it turns out to be a big piece of shite. Had that with 2 of the FRST's I went to see for the missus.
