Default anyone have any OVER HEATING problems at Trax??

must say...was a little worried when i fitted the new RADTECH intercooler, as the fan fits right on the edge of the Rad and is half the size of the old one.....

BUT

yesterday was a true tester....1.5 hours sitting in constant traffic....fan didn't really turn off but the temprature stayed at JUST over halfway for the whole time!!!

was well happy!!!

anyone get any problems at all?!?!?!

I have a Standard (Re-cored) Rad about an Inch from the Turbo and 2 Spal Fans. Then there is a wopping 63mm Cored Intercooler infront of it. I was watching the temps on the Laptop and they never exceeded 94° in the queue (which is no more than 1/2 way up the gauge).

You shouldn't have issues while slow moving anyway . The only problem occurs at higher speed . Even with my huge intercooler, I have no problems in traffic, with the water temps staying at 90°C with the fans on.

The Smart was good as gold, never really heard the fans working quite so much tho, temp maintained around 90 - 100 degrees whilst stood in those god awful queues.

On another note, Keith I got your email, im not deliberately ignoring you but that subject cannot be discussed on work email until i've actually told work what im doing! lol

only problem i had was just as i got in and after i had been stuck in traffic for ages that my brake fluid had overheated, i had recently just fitted the breather system which ran the pipes next to the fluid tank and they stopped working properly just before i got to the stand, but once they had cooled they were ok
