Default 17's Have slowed me down

Didnt realise it would have this much effect somewhere i could do 100 can only do 90, this is in my little 1.6si, should it have effected it this much, this is from 15's

it hasnt slowed it down mate

its the diameter of the wheels against the speedo drive

or sumthing like that

if anything it would actually be going faster now becuase of the wheel diameter. acceleration would be slower though.

There are a couple of them speed things around that flash up your speed, now with thease wheels its about right, just 1 or 2mph below before it was a few, But i got beaten by a 1.4 escort But king of cos i was scared of scratching my new wheels

THey will affect the accelration as its like i have sliightly altered the gear ratio etc. On a car with not much power, torque u can notice it a fair bit.

its brought ur speedo back into line...now your showing under 100 coz thats the speed your REALLY doing (plus or minus 1-2mph as u said)...u used to read 100+ last time but u were still doing 90ish LOL

also are the new wheels heavier than your old ones that can affect it ALOT...plus the drag from wider tyres etc

But rs 7's look so much better so seeing as my car aint f1 fast anyway it doesnt really matter! Dont think they are much heavier but a bit maybe, o well will get over it!
