Default my quest for an escort cossie front grill

over the last few months i have been looking for an escos grill, ford fair and nat day see me going round all the trade stands to find one, found a couple,"how much" i say one wanted £65 the other £75 with the comment you cant get these from ford anymore,
SO today i phone HAYNES of maidstone and ask if they still do them,
YES the man said but i have to order it in"how much" i say now here is the shocking bit £69 excl vat £81 something inc vat,so i can get a genuine ford NEW for £6 more than a breaker but then i would have to pay delivery from breaker so it would cost the same as a new one nearly fell for the crap spouted by the breakers, how do they get away with it

how do they get away with it
People don't bother to check if things are available.

these bits are like rocking horse though so thats why traders can charge this much.

Should make your Xr look more sporty now!

I always try Ford for parts first as i like to have brand new stuff rather than secondhand.

I got a genuine Escos grille 6 months ago off ebay, including the black mesh thing that clips onto it for about £35! Crazy thing is it's never gone on a car and has sat in my shed for 4 months! You could have had it but I'm getting a new Escort today and it's probably going on it! You'd have got it for £40 inc. p+p off me if you'd asked before

Not that I'm trying to rub it in or anything
