I won some 90 spec recaros on Ebay last week and just picked them up today...


i thought they were escort RS Turbo ones being 90 spec, but they have a map pocket on the back of both of them.

i thought only saph cossie seats had the map pockets. And i know saphy ones don't tilt, but these do.


Used 3 cans of valet stuff to clean tem up and they're pretty mint now..






Not really that bothered, but its puzzling me


They were a fooking bargain too

also the grey material isnt solid grey, more like the saphy fleck grey colour

didnt think the RS tubo seats had a map pocket either,mine didn't

they do from a distance but the outer material is the same colour as early saph ones, and escorts dont have the map pockets m8

there xr2i ones some came from the factory with recaros ive only seen 4 sets though..

could possibly be 3 door ones then - whats the seat runners look like at the front, and has the drivers one got height adjustable?

So i got some rare as fook seats for £50 then

they have the same 90 spec centre but the outside of the seat is a different material and i think the stitching is different

they have a bar going acros the front of the seat for the sliding mechanism whereas escorts have a little handle

yeah they were optional in the XR2i, not many people opted for them though. You can tell from the piping, map pocket and the different outer material

not seen many sets myself either

They are genuine XR2i Recaro's. They are rare as rocking horse shit. Seen sets go for £300. I let mine go for the silly some of £150 and a set of standard XR2i seats after our old Fes was trashed

the fiesta recaros came standard in Silver ones,so i've been told, don't know why though.
