Default THE NEW PETROL EMAIL ..WILL IT WORK ???

IT GOES LIKE THIS

Lets hit em where it hurts and show what happens when we pull together
to get something changed. One person can make a
difference...especially if they own a car!

Subject: FW: A Plan to Reduce UK Petrol Prices - a rip-off at over 90p a
litre - POWER TO THE PEOPLE... What an impact this could make! See what you
think and pass it on if you agree with it We are hitting 95p a litre in some
areas now, soon we will be faced with paying #1 a ltr.

This makes MUCH MORE SENSE than the "don't buy petrol on a certain day"
campaign that was going around last April or May! The oil companies just
laughed at that because they knew we wouldn't continue to hurt ourselves
by refusing to buy petrol. It was more of an inconvenience to us than
it
was a problem for them.

BUT, whoever thought of this idea, has come up with a plan that can really
work. Please read it and join in! Now that the oil companies and the OPEC
nations have conditioned us to think that the cost of a litre is CHEAP, we
need to take aggressive action to teach them that BUYERS control the
market place not sellers. With the price of petrol going up more each
day, we consumers need to take action.
The only way we are going to see the price of petrol come down is if we hit
someone in the pocket by not purchasing their Petrol! And we can do that
WITHOUT hurting ourselves. Here's the idea:

For the rest of this year, DON'T purchase ANY petrol from the two biggest
oil companies (which now are one), ESSO and BP. If they are not selling any
petrol, they will be inclined to reduce their prices. If they reduce their
prices, the other companies will have to follow suit. But to have an impact,
we need to reach literally millions of Esso and BP petrol buyers. It's
really simple to do!! Now, don't whimp out on me at this point... keep
reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions of people!!
I am sending this note to a lot of people. If each of you send it to at
least ten more (30 x 10 = 300)... and those 300 send it to at least ten more
(300 x 10 = 3,000) ... and so on, by the time the message reaches the sixth
generation of people, we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers! If
those three million get excited and pass this on to ten friends each, then
30 million people will have been contacted! If it goes
one level further, you guessed it... .. THREE HUNDRED MILLION
PEOPLE!!!
Again, all You have to do is send this to 10 people. That's all.(and not
buy at ESSO/BP) How long would all that take? If each of us sends
this
email out to ten more people within one day of receipt, all 300 MILLION
people could conceivably be contacted within the next 8days!!!

I'll bet you didn't think you and I had that much potential, did you!
Acting together we can make a difference.

If this makes sense to you, please pass this message on.

PLEASE HOLD OUT UNTIL THEY LOWER THEIR PRICES TO THE 69p a LITRE RANGE It's
easy to make this happen. Just forward this email, and buy your petrol at
Shell, Asda,Tesco, Sainsburys, Morrisons Jet etc. i.e. boycott BP and Esso.

POWER TO THE PEOPLE!!!!

that wont work because esso + bp etc serply sainsbury + tescos with fuel so it wont matter to them as they will still be selling fuel and its the governments tax which makes fuel prices high in this country

If only

As said above though All the Supermarkets are supplied by BP/Shell etc etc Same product different badge so Boycoting BP/Esso wont make a blind bit of difference.

Blockades are the only thing that will make the Blair and his cronies sit up and take note.... We need to be more like the French, If they have problems with how things are...... They shut down the ports... Nothing in, Nothing out!

Bit of a Pain for me (I work for Renault UK so we cant get our cars in when it happens ) But it gets things done!

nothing and no one is going to reduce the price of fuel. china is still buying up every barrel they can, iraq is unstable, other mass producing countries have only enough to last 25 years max, it's just not going to happen, all we can hope is it becomes more steady rather than going up weekly!

How do I fill my 3 vans up with my BP fuelcards though no fuel = no deliveries = no company = no money for me

True about China buying up all the oil as its not just affecting petrol prices, severly hit the plastics industry too

Blockades are illegal now though. After the last time new laws were brought in. The police will just arrest you if you try to blockade refinaries.
If we want to make a difference we should just stop using our cars from a certain date and don't resume until they lower the tax on petrol.. If everyone in the country switched to public transport the the whole transport system, would collapse. Imagine if everyone was using trains and buses. The entire country would grind to a halt. Just stop using cars and get on buses and trains instead. The government would have to give in. If no-one can get to work because of overcrowding then nothing would get done and they would cave within a week.

Would be good for a top speed run down the empty motorways aswell

Obviously this would never happen...unless petrol becomes so expensive that the majority of people can't afford to own a car. Actually that might not be as far off as we think...

it surely all boils down to 1 simple fact.

if everyone was to stop using their cars and use public transport, how do we fuel the busses that ppl will be using? the diesel has to come from somewhere.

who would be the biggest loser when we all started being late to work? couldnt make deliveries? i think that would be us, ya boss would just employ someone who would pay the price of fuel and the customer would again get someone to make the delivery who will pay the price.

fuel companies are making billions in profit no matter what. the way i see it is as long as oil is our primary source of fuel, we're well and truely shafted.
