they didnt have a sunroof...looks a clean enough old bean tin just obviously not its original roof or maybe shell

i owned a few of these when they were only 2 or 3 years old and IIRC there were 2 specs...custom and non custom, i dont remember there being any options on sunroofs etc available.
if i,m wrong i,m sure the buftys will correct me

just emailed him he says that the sunroof was fitted from new and not been fitted after

Can't see from the pics or listing whether it has opening rear windows or electric front windows as from memory that determines a Custom along with a sunroof

if the sunroof is only a tilt one,not tilt and slide ,it is more like an accessory from the extra bits you can put on a car,unlike the tilt and slide type that was pressed properly into the roof on the production line.i think the roof takes away the unique selling point of the non-custom.

In the first pic, you can see the top hinge cover on the outside of the glass. As said, all S1's had opening rear quarters anyway.

The rsford.co.uk site needs updating to add: "Only in white..unless you were a very special customer & got a red or grey or black one, or worked for a tv station & ordered a blue one". But that's another story...
