Anyone heard of or used these tuners?

Basically need a service for my RS nothing major just a general tune up and performance tweak!
I need something local'ish to Surrey....Power Engineering are just about the furthest I can travel as I'm gonna need to make a few journeys so closer the better, but obviously dont wanna sacrifice quality.
Saw these in PF just wondered if anyone had any info on them : http://www.vanaaken.com/europe/advan...ollingroad.htm

Otherwise I've just heard of Julian Godfrey Engineering on another thread: http://www.racetuners.com/
again have no info on them really.

MADevelepments are recommended to me the most but Ive rung him and he refuses to work on RSTs anymore which is a right bugger

So....what can you guys recommend?

My friend had his Puma turbocharged by them years ago. Seemed happy with them, car went well and when it did have a problem they fixed it for free. They have been around a few years so are no fly by night monkeys.

It was the Silver one featured in Performance Ford a few months ago... The new owner bought the car and then BULLSHITTED PF TOTALLY!!!! He bought the car EXACTLY like that apart from the wheels. But if you read the feature, he says HE did all the mods... Fucking lying Wanker!

For Proof, read the Feature in Redline that I wrote MYSELF on the car 3 years previously...the spec is identical as is the exterior and interior.

I know them quite well and have known Alex there for a while I thought they were more into just doing the chips for diesels, etc, etc nowadays though. They've also got a 2wd rolling road as well .....

They do a kind of bolt on turbo conversion for the Fiesta Zetec S and the Ka and maybe the Puma as well. Although they do seem to specialize in Diesel Tuning, they do other stuff as well.

I personally would go to Power Engineering though, but that's just me!

As far as i know they're specialising in turbo and supercharger conversions, along with the diesel tuning. But it's always worth a phonecall if they're right on your doorstep.

Hi All,

I thought I'd join thanks to Naths link and me not being able to stay away from Fords!!

We (van Aaken Developments) specialize in Turbo Diesel plug in upgrades and certain Turbo/Supercharger conversions. We have moved away from the RS scene unfortunately. Working with RS's was one of the main reasons why I joined them so I am gutted but we have to move with the times. We are now one of the few turbo diesel upgrade manufacturers who have a big name in the USA and around the world. In the past I have used interpro in Bristol and have always been pleased with their work. You sometimes have to travel to get a decent job done, or if you have a local RS Ford dealership they sometimes have a trained RS technician whos a bit handy cos he will be the main man for working on any RS that comes in.

Sorry we couldn't help

Good to see your still about Alex we'll have to meet up for a beer or two in the near future....

Oh and by the way, Alex has had loads of Cossys, etc, that would be classed as proper ones as well and even near if not concourse ones and quick, so he knows his stuff ....

Thanks for joining this bb &setting things straight, as this is even better than the RSOC by far, so keep an eye on it and enjoy

Nath

PS: you missed the local berks meet tonight, where there's no bitchy'ness. I know cause between me and a few others we keep it that way

Alexf, There is a good RS show and a Trackday being held next saturday at Castle Combe. Sunday is the Essex RS regional day as well.

Alexf, do you remember the silver Puma of Simon Faggs that you Turbocharged 3 or 4 years ago? bodykit, big brakes and stuff... It had your huge silver graphics over the sides as well. Think it was one of the first you did. I came down with him to you guys were sorting out a few little niggles?

Since its just a short walk from my brothers house I went to visit them and even though they moved away from the RS scene they took good care of me and supplied info of their current setups. Made a professional impression.

I've a good idea.. you could get an old grey S2 escort [even though you don't do them anymore ] and tune it up, throw loads of money at it and don't charge the owner cos he's skint.... I know that it will be a sacrifice to some poor owner, but I'm willing to give it a go

Hi Dragon,

Yeah, still got the ST24, it's not too bad for a family car. I got a bit bored with the lack of power so I picked up the new Yamaha R6...that doesn't hang around
