ICE Question? (BMW Mini One)
Here's a question for you ICE types
My sister has an old old mini, no stereo etc or anything, anyway, she decided to buy a BMW Mini One radio cassette from ebay, all very well, but I cant seem to find a multiplug for the back of it (so I can wire the speakers, power etc to it.......
If im right, all the adapters in Halfords would have the opposite gender connector to the one I need?
Basicly I just need the "car loom" connector for it so I can then wire it myself, (and of course then find the pin allocations!)
Anyone got any ideas?
Cheers

Is the aerial plug there or is there nothing at all?
I'd be inclined to wire it on from fresh, make yourself a decent earth, feed a permanent live through from the battery [with a fuse as near to the terminals as possible] and scotch clip a remote live feed from the ignition

Try BMW, [for a laugh at their stupid pricing on parts for cars under 5 years old ]
Then give German, Swedish and French a ring, they'll do them I'm sure
Or ring the guys at Top Banana in Fleet, Hampshire if you're not too far from me? They'll sort you out 01252 819500, ask for Paul or Matt

Go into Halfords and ask for the car lead for the mobile phone hands free kits they sell, that will plug straight into the back of the unit then wire it onto whatever connector you want.
Two different leads available for the mini though, Round pin or flat pin. You can tell by looking at the back of the unit. Oh and the aerial may be different, Some off them use a strange square plug. Adaptors available from autoleads.
Part numbers for the phone leads are BRL (round pin)
BRL2 (flat pin)
Both are Ł17
Hope this helps
