Ive got that bloody Cold / Flu bug that's doing the rounds (thank you VERY much Accounts dept!!!!!).

The throat started Saturday, managed to ignore it on Sunday at Donny, then Monday it hit me full force and I got sent home sick from work before I died on the spot

Now im left with a stinking head cold & sneezes, ive been chewing on Vitamin C tablets like sweets and im dosed up on Lemsip Max Cold & Flu Capsules, but it doesnt seem to be shifting and I need it gone for Friday!!!!!

Anyone got any suggestions, if not to shift the bloody thing just to hide the symptoms?

Those carvol capsules?? I remember using them as a kid on bedcovers etc....used them again last time I had a cold and forgot how good they were
Might clear your nose a bit so you can breathe at least!

I'm just getting over the same thing.

Was the strangest thing - one symptom per day!

Worst sore throat ever on Thursday, aching muscles and headaches Friday, all three on Saturday, stinking cold on Sunday, and then Monday I was a complete wreck. Spent most of the day in and out of bed, and not in the good way! Slept for 18 out of 24 hours!

Yesterday was average, and today I am much better, if a lilttle bunged up, coughing like an smoker, and whinging all the time, but much of that is normal.

I've been on the Beechams Powder Capsules, and they did stave off some of the symptoms on Sunday - enough for me to enjoy myself anyway.

Thanks Rich, yep defo sounds like the same thing, sucks arse, just got in from work, put my dressing gown on and im gonna lay on the sofa till bedtime, something I havn't done in a looooooong time!
