am waiting for my phantom AFR gauge to be delivered and had a couple of thoughts...
was just wandering how i will go about getting a lamda sensor put into the downpipe of a stainless system and also what one to use? should i use a specific one for that gauge or any 2/4 wire type?

The gauge will need the specific wide band lambda for it as they all work slightly different.
4 wire work differently to 5 wire and require a separate controller.
You can get hold of lambda nuts from your local tuner. (same thread as a spark plug I think)
Just a case of welding it at a 90 deg horizontal angle to your downpipe.

Is your guage for a wide band or a narrow band mate??
Wide bands need seperate controllers and you must use the right sensor.
Narrowbands can use almost anymake of sensor as long as its the correct type
Check out www.turbobits.co.uk
and www.tuneparts.com (bottom left of home page click on "Just Lambda"
A 4 wire sensor has a built in heater and is slightly more accurate.
Matt.
P.S. bast ask the guage manufacturer what sensor they recommend
