Default Scotty vs Lloyd vs AM Sport Fiesta @ ND

Who saw three 3 of them battle it out for a short time on the last but 1 Expert session?????

Result...... Scotty was leading until he split a boost hose and had to retire then the EM Fiesta got black flagged would have made a superb 20 minute session if it had carried on

how the fook is it possible to split a boost hose if they are tested till lots of psi...more then a turbo would ever deliver....

It was the small pipe that connects the dump valve to the hose.... blew it wide open

Scotty showed me the piece of pipe , was not split but exploded.

missed that session but the one earlier where G.Lloyd and the Fiesta were having a go, .

Gareth was getting away from the fiesta bit by bit, truly awesome cars that were there today.

I timed all of the mentioned cars several times today and Gareth's escort was the quickest . I saw a 1:17.5 from the WRC escort once it was up to speed. I saw 1:16 from Gareth and the fiesta was in 1:18's.

It was an excellent battle to see but I think Gareth's car had a fair amount in hand

I spoke to Gareth a few times. As he was doing passanger laps the car was only on a mid boost setting. Gareth says at full hammer he is 1:10's - 1:12's. I think someone timed him with the fiesta at a 1:14???????

Was standing on the pit wall watching Scotty & the AM Fiesta battle it out. Was not expecting to see them to side by side trying to out brake each other. 2nd time round Scotty had over taken & had the clear advantage with Garath Lloyd trying to get passed.

That Fiesta is awesome, superb to watch on the track. Its one thing watching it go round on track, wait till your in the passenger seat on another car & the missile flys past you & disapppears

To be fair to the AM Fiesta (according to Gareth Lloyd), the guy just didn't know the track (it being his first ever visit to Donnington), and he was on the completely wrong lines . Once Gareth overtook him, he was extremely puzzled as to why he then didn't latch on to the back and follow him to get the correct lines .

Was indeed awesome as a spectator with a front row seat (out on track at the same time) - I'm just glad I wasnt Gary from APT who got caught up in the middle of it at Redgate .

Gutted I missed this Gutted I never got to watch Gareth up close either. Would love to follow him around for a few corners (or try to )

Fiesta is super cool, but Gareth is a driving God

Scotty is a nutter who should be resting in bed! not trying to do himself even MORE damage out of track!

On the up side Sierra was back on road tyres and merrily driving home. I gave that Sierra DEATH yesterday and it ran faultlessly all day long! Well done Martin

Lee, I can just imagine the poor bloke with the Fiesta having sunk what must be Ł60+k into his Fiesta, to get pushed round by what looks like a 2wd 3dr . No wonder he didn't want to let you overtake him .

Well i had the pleasure of being in the fiesta and its an awsome car, the guy isnt very familuar with the track so i think he was a little off line, i also had the pleasure of speaking to gareth ( great guy ) and he was saying the car was only at half the boost it can run , think what it would be doing full chat , also the fiesta now owe`s chris ( the fiesta`s owner ) about 130k

Scotty kicked his arse, and Gareth Lloyd showed him how it was done too! It looked to me like Scotty was quicker than Lloyd, maybe he wasn't trying on the laps I saw!

Good to see that Fiesta get caned, he nearly drove me off the track at Ford Fair! And he got a session stopped on Saturday as he was far too noisy.

Shame it didn't last the full 20 minutes but then again what session did yesterday?

National Day Sunday is a noisy day so no restrictions.

He got a session stopped on Saturday for noise though!

Gareths car was amazing on the day as was A1 rallysports car.Anyone that spoke to chris in the Am sport fiesta would know that it chipped a tooth of 5th gear just before 12 oclock on sunday he had to change from 4th to 6th in every race which was a shame.

Let's hope Chris actually listened to Gareth's advice about using the clutch then, that way he will have a fully working gearbox after each outing and will save him a few quid as well... .

Has anyone got the Fiesta's email address? If so, send him this link:
www.motorsportvision.co.uk/redline and it should be fun on Friday...
Steve Scot and the Sierra will be there, not sure if Steve will be in the Escort or Fiesta though.
Anyone know if Gareth is going?
