i had the luck of having a passenger ride in the fieasta
he had totaly the wrong gearing for the track due to it being the first time at dono
he was hitting the rev limeter in 6th before he got to dunlop bridge and half way down the straight so he was having to back off
i was out when gareth loyd and him was having a duel he was all over gareth and at some stages could have over took on the right but due to track regs dident
if the 3 car where to race and be aloud to over take on both sides and round corners i think ther whould be a different situation ther probably whould only be about a second in between all of them in a proper race if all cars where 100%
thanks to the lads with the fiesta all of them they helped me all weekend with bits and bobs for my car they are a good bunch of lads who where there for a bit of fun not to make mortal enemys on track
all i can say is good job i didnt come across them on track as i whould have smoked the three of them in my road car
thanks jc

Dan,
The AM car is 113 dB and got kicked off Dono on the Sunday within half a lap .

They red flagged the whole session to get him off ASAP .

Brunters??? Danny, Straight lines are ZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Having said that if one of the Ford mags wanted to set up a little circuit at Brunters like they do on the track days (and in Track and Race mag) we could do some lap times and stuff

Steve called me last night, hopefully we will be having some more fun on Friday at Bedford

When they were all out together, Gareth had just exited the pits on cold slicks right behind Scotty and the AM Sport Fiesta, and just about managed to hang on until they were warm, then had a play

Must have been a bit hairy until they were sticky

gareth has given up GT racing hasn't he? (does he do any racing at all now?)

the AM fiesta? what is that elgible to compete in?

the A1 WRC escort? is this the one that runs in the saloon car championship?? (the one always on about in PF?)

No it wasn't. I should have gone with Gareth but couldn't make it on the day

I know who it was though and he's pretty quick too. It's modified though - KW adjustable suspension, fat slicks too.

that csl was VERY impressive, was absolutely flying and you just know it could do it allllll day long and love it!

Mike, was a shame had a problem and had to turn the boost down, it certainly showed on track, infact, it looked like you had no boost at all

I watched the race of these three from the chicane and it was great but theres no question that Steve would come out the better in a race.

Really? "No Question"? Was it really that clear cut from a spectators point of view?

I reckon Gareth would have trounced the lot of em, just going on by how much he had left in reserve, and driver skill/experience.

Just the kind of thing that all three of the drivers dont want too see

as JC said They are all very good drivers who were all on a track day with 3 very fast cars with not a lot between them who knows what would happen if they had a race well done and a good show by all

Anyway, I was referring to a hypothetical scenario as to which car would be quicker on an individual timed lap.

It was also perfectly clear to see that all three cars were plenty committed around most of the circuit - see Gary's front bumper for evidence of that!

I dont mean to have a pop at you if it seems like that but as steve said to me

we a turned up at donno and within about a hour he had about 4 or 5 pepole asking if he was going to race the fiesta then you get pepole on here saying he went this fast and was two secs faster then him and he was only running half boost and so on

They all love there racing but dont need all the hype to go with it if you know what i mean

Right, I see what you mean now.

Seeing all three cars together on track was awesome, but I know that the bottom line is that it's not a race, even though all three drivers are ultra competitive and don't want to "lose" as such.........

Spot on Brom, totally agree

Regarding the times though, perhaps Gareth should have turned his boost up for once

I thought the WRC white escort cossie was in the national saloon car champs or something similar this year and the times for these races are published. IE. It didn't take National Day to decide whose car has the fastest lap already
