PassionFord Post Whore!!
Good day and should go faster, Rod is Mad already thinking of 210 ,
Rod has done around 5K before the day and we drove there and to ND and Home so another 500mile without a single fault ,
Diff problem was traced to running over 800HP with 235 tyres even the Viper had 315 or 335 and was doing the same thing, Scary ride to say the least on 1/4mile, Nearly got banned from the day as they thought I was doing it on purpose .
so far 3 200mph+ runs 2 199mph 1 198mph and countless 180+ on the roads

Rod will never retire at this rate and i hope he never does.
I look forward to hearing Martins results as much as Rods or anybody elses and personally although a Mondeo is not a cosworth i still think the Ford bean tin should qualify.
However, when Rod's chasing 220mph and nearing 70 he'll always win it for me, you just gotta givit to the ol' bugger

And to add to Rod's lovely warm glowing feeling of success.. He won second prize in the Zymol Raffle!!!!

DEYTUKURJERBS
was a cerbera, pipercross filters poking thru bonnet instead of the carbon airboxes, alloy rear wing, cheapo 19s, and nitrous.
ive never ever seen a car with such an OTT power claim in my life

Its not the same car then. Its obviously a dream er making a BS claim.
The project "Pheonix" Cerbera as the guy calls it is still being built, and his target is for about 1000bhp, and I do believe he has a very good chance of getting there.

Nope project Pheonix, the 1000hp TVR didn't even come close to being ready in time.. as you pointed out. The TVR that was there on the day was very nice but nowhere near 1000hp.
The Ultima didn't run, because the guy cant wear a crash helmet and still fit inside the cockpit.. Major bodywork coming to fix that!!

Fucking superb stuff, that really is awesome rod.
The bar has been raised yet again.
I cant see anyone beating that in a saph for a ridiculously long time, only way it looks like to get beaten by a cossie engine is with the advantage of better aerodynamics in a more modern shell of some sort.
Amazing stuff the hammering that MAD engine takes day in day out and just keeps coming back for more, Mark is a legend!

Well done Mark and Rod
The fastest Cossie in the country just got quicker
Having been out in the car pre-2.1 rebuild, I can vouch that it was one hell of a car back then, so I am not amazed that it reached 206mph.
What a result, everyone else will be

Have just analised the Data from the run & the car peaked at 210.2mph, whats crazy about that is the Nitrous switched off at 208 so the old girl was still acclerating off Nitous. Mark keeps muttering 'monsterous' & grinning from ear to ear. Dont thnk the limit has been found for this car, its my prob cos i geared the car to short for the day & wont make that mistake again. Anyway Mark rekons a GT42 will fit straight on .

Rod, you were saying only yesterday that "a GT42 is too much for a road car"
Your ability to hold a train of thought seems to be going with age mate
210 is awesome stuff though, especially given how far before the 1.5 miles point that was.

When you consider a car like a Viper is a car that was design to do big numbers, unlike a Cossie which is based on a boggo family Seirra saloon, so to get that close is just incredible, it's bloody amasing you can get it going anywhere near that fast!
I would do a top speed run four up, at Brunters just for the hell of it just to back up that fact it's a family saloon. Assuming the brakes could haul it to a stop with the additional wieght and wouldn't damage the engine under the extra load
Awesome stuff lads

My Mum read this and had a fit.
"Why would anyone want to treble the speed limit"
She reckons Rod is a silly wee boy, shall I tell her his age?
