Jus got back, shit hot day, woodbridge is soooo much better for top speed than brunters! About 1.6miles from the first useable bit of tarmac to the end, with half mile of braking room, and then another half miles of very dodgy but useable braking room for emergencys or fucking nutters
Rods Saff did it within the 1.6, and infact went faster but you have to break the timing beam to record the time and had slowed slightly by then.
Viper did 215 later on
Maddest thing was seeing sheady try and control the thing from a standing start diff problem meant car was unbelivably unstable when wheelspinning, was soo close to being flung into the bushes

I wouldnt say a Sierra is a brick by any means. Mine yes, a Sierra no.
Ive no idea on comparisons between a Sierra and Viper as far as aerodynamics go, but they probably arent that much different.
I know weight doesnt play as much a part, but the Viper would also be about 1/2 ton heavier.
Vipers are expensive, but Im also sure Rods car isnt exactly a budget build.
Either way, both superb results. Would love to have been there to see it.
