what people reckon to these??? fancied one of these for a while and got this one for a bargain 1200 notes
its a silver mk5b model, standard in every way, rammed full of wax oil every where even the original rims are mint, bought it as my mrs' daily drive while i have a bash at restorin my series 2
the blokes owned it since it was 2 years old and has pampered it all the way through
cars got 12 months mot, 6months tax and half a tank of juice!!!, pick it up tommorow so ill post some pics
ill see how it fares against the rs turbo!!!!!

I take it you know that the gearbox/transfer box is made of chocolate and will break, repairs to them if available are very costly, loads get scrapped due to G/ box failure, so be carefull
My m8's dad has just bought one as a track car, not sure how long the G/box will last on track!!

yeah heard that can be a problem on modded cars, this is stayin absolutely boggo so im hopin it wont be an issue

Theres nothing wrong with the transfer boxes on them you just have to watch where you jack the car up and be careful towing them go here for better advice on the 2k

i was told that its not good to put these on the brake testing machines they have at mot station
is this true or was i fed crap
not supposed to be good for it when u test front brakes and car gets pushed back of the rollers. dunno how bad this is or not

The place where i get my MOT still use a Tapley gauge in the footwell and take the car out on the road to test 4x4.
