What I like about on there is no big budget bollocks, most the time they just go see what they got down the scrappy and use that
Im really not so sure about this you said tho...
They very like that, until a few years ago Turboing your V8 was frowned upon, and they constantly thinking up new ways to do stuff as its all pretty new, new ideas and mods come up every day, its well cool.
They actually THINK about stuff and try stuff though, unlike most places where they listen to tuners, bullshit rumours, and then just build the same old crap everyone else does with no progress like everyone used to in the RS scene until recently.
They into getting their moneys worth- as much as people say americans are stupid, lol, they cleverer with their money when it comes to tuning cars it seems!
People getting low 10s at 135 on a standard non-turbo bottomend with a feckin heavy car is pretty cool too

Its only running 5psi at mo mate, I/C isnt a huge deal at that boost, seen them run a whole fuckload more without one.
And even if staying with no I/C tons of them over there just run water/meth/alcy injection and run 25psi+ with no I/C and no problems...

I know what they are doing is relatively new on the grand scale of things in the American muscle car scene but you can't fault how willing they are to share every technical detail they can with one another. That's what I meant about not re-inventing the wheel. I know they are trying a lot of new things, things nobody else has tried, but it's not like they are really secretive about it.
In contrast over here people are cagey with things like flamer kits lmao
A friend of mine used their forum for help turbo converting his Trans-am, he didn't know a thing about engines before he started and now he's built this all by himself and all for scrap yard money.
The sound of a turbo trans-am vid

pretty cool ![Grin](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
interesting how he says i thinks it will make aorund 400-450bhp, the spec on the NA motor would be around the 400 mark anyway, possibly more! those AFR heads are awsome...
i've got a bit of catching up to do

Its not just the power, its HOW they make the power when they turbo'd...
Two quick examples...
Standard 140k mile 5litre block, mild cam, TFS heads, no intercooler, 2x tiny lil T25 turbos, 13psi, and makes 454bhp at the WHEELS and 520lb/ft
There another one similar to above with std cam and GT40 heads that made 525@wheels and about 550 torque too, but its the way tey make the power from fuck all rpm is what makes em so good
Like this DIY setup...
Standard bottomend and TFS heads, 2x normal ford T3s (ie like cossies etc), 10psi boost, spools up from nothing and 502bhp@wheels and 580lb/ft
Over 500@wheels right from 4500
Over 500lb/ft from 3800-5300
Fuckin awesome from just some cheapo bolt-on jobs

It has me thinking of picking up some old American shed like a Caprice, sticking some shorty headers on upside down and welding on some T3's.
The good thing is too once you have that power there are the bits out there to get them to hook so you can actually use it. Use a C5/AOD/TH400 gearbox and you can stick whatever power you want through it with no worries of expensive rebuilds.
