Default i want new suspension

Ok the gaz coilovers have turned EXACTLY 100 miles!

but everything else on the car has been so stupidly expensive and of such quality.. its like taking a harvey nichols bag to lidl

what decent coilovers are available that are considerate to road driving with the occasional track day?

one set of esc cos GAZ coilovers , virtually brand new.. for sale! cheap!

buy them direct off leda or me!, the ones lee has have separate canisters and are ajustable. a lot of people slag leda's but garreth lloyd doesnt do too badly on them and his are a cheaper type than lee's (although he has got the valving spot on, the specs of which he keeps secret )

DaveEscos, Last time I looked the Ohlins where Ł3k and you needed to cut the strut tops to be able to get the remote res through, It ended up being to much grive for the car.

The leaky Leda name is totally undeserved now the design/build quality is top notch.

DaveEscos,If you are putting Good suspension then a Ahmed rear beem is a must, I have just put a Escort On Leda's and a rear beem you cant belive how much this changes the car for the good, It is worth every penny.

And worth every penny, You cannot spend that on suspension and make the diff the beam does.

Mark, is this my car you are referring to here? After the Ohlins idea became too unrealistic I basically left the suspension upgrades to Mark. He suggested Leda's with a new rear beam setup and who would I be to argue. I just cant wait to feel the difference....... Actually is there anything else you would do /can so to the suspension if it was your car Mark? What about upgrading the anti-roll bars?

Adjustable TCAs on the front to get the suspension "just so" and away you go. Is why my ROAD car did so well at the GTBattle against many dedicated track cars. Qualified in the final (beating cars with twice the power) and was only 1.5s behind cars with 100bhp more and 100kg less weight .

Dave, I run 750 at the front and 450 at the back... and believe it or not its not THAT mental hard on the road! Mike runs the same suspension as me and runs 450/275 I think. Speak to him as you car has more in common with his

As Martin says Ohlins are the daddy but OTT on a road car. Still can't believe what IMA paid for his. I am very jealous!

Leda themselves are also VERY helpful when it comes to spring rates and stuff

350/175.

Dave you are right to get rid of the Gaz as well IMHO as it doesn't match the standard of the rest of the car

But I BET the real reason is because you couldn't STAND having the same suspension as Jim

Warmer .

325/171 (an odd figure for the rears, as they are Eibachs which come in a Nm rating which converts to this figure ).

MY Leda's for my FRST. Quality of these is much better than the set of coilovers I had on my Escort cabby years back.
Very helpful people, they are gonna cornerweight the car and change spring rates if required. Said i could just swap the springs with them FOC if needed.
