Default tyre sizes on 16"wheels

ive got the sixteen inch mondeo five spokes fitted to my mk3 escort but the n/s rear wheel rubs occasionally is it cos the tyres are 50 profiles would i be better off going down to a 45 or a 40 series?

ive got 195/4516 uniroyal rainsports id go for these on escorsts as they will handle just right ,and i havent had no scrubbing what so ever!

ahh you do remember me,yeah unfortunately i dont speak to the chap thats got the camera we had a falling out so cant get unfortunatley!,just wanted to say the cossie looked PHAT man,shame you got rid,but can understand the circumstances!,havent even had my first saff yet( which will be a 2wd) but im defintily getting one next year!

195/45/16 or at most 205/45/16. 215's are a bit too wide in my opinion.
