Magnex vs. Mongoose ????
Hi
I'm running a mongoose system on my 2wd saff.
It's so loud and will touch the ground when there is 4 people in the car!!
I've tig welded a peace of stain less steel to the bottom of the lowest part of the exhaust, so it's not ripped open by the tarmac......yes my saff is a bit low I think
Now the Q;
The magnex system is no so loud because of the 3 boxes, the mongoose only has 2 boxes (Muflers).
How much less noise does it make???
I'm missing the more limo kind of feel to car, it had when on std. exhaust.
Also the magnex is not UNDER the diff......W.T.H. were mongoose thinking when designing that system....
I've talked to woodford garage and they tell me that the system for the 2wd has gone into production again?? any info on that??
in my ford mags, magnex is not listed as exhaust supplier for the 2wd saff??
Cheers Kennert

What gets to me about the mongoose is when running in 5.th and hitting W.O.T.............the hole car resonates like a tin can
only in the lower rpm range, but still.
I never drive under 85 mph on the highway because of that
Have they started to produce the magnex again for the 2wd saff?

I have a mongoose on the 4x4 and the sound is like a low deep rumble, mrsFrog has a magnex on her 2wd and the sounds is more like a high pitch scream.
Not sure how you can say either is similar to the original sound wise, they are both way louder imo

my magnex was well quiet (a bit too quiet for my liking) it does follow the original design and is better because of this for clearence. I think both are good for stage 3 power but the mong is better for more power.
The magnex never really made a noise until on boost where as the mong is making noise all the time.
