Default new radio = no clutch

Just had a new radio fitted to the cossy by a local company, and when I went to collect it, the car is half the way down the road from the place and they can't get any gears. On getting the AA out the clutch is f**ked.

Probs sods law but still takes the p*ss, as I can't remember when you needed to test drive a car to fit a radio

time to open a can of whupass on them - they had absolutely no need to drive your vehicle except for means of moving it around the workshop etc - no way they should of had it on the road. - My money is on an apprentice has been giving it some of that "hows ya father" and burnt the clutch out

Pay for the Radio ... But at the same time, inform them that you will take further action with respect the unauthoriesd use on the road. Ask who was driving, and get the name. Ask local places if anyone saw it being ragged.

These could be your demands ...
New clutch professionally fitted
Amount that will cover the cost of the radio.

Or take matter up through Solicitor, but with Standards first.
That's what I'd do mate.

They reckon they where just moving it roung the front onto the main road so I could collect it.... Think I'll get some legal advice just in case, as by the looks of it it aint going to be cheap to get one fitted.

Dependant on how the car park to workshop is located IMO i think its just an unfortunate set of circumstances that it happened when it did

To be honest I think you're probably right.

I've been down the trading standards route when a large clutch repair company damaged an Audi they were repairing, and it gets you no-where.

The car park is round the back of the shop and they where moving it onto the main road which means they have to go to the end of the road and round.
