Default idle speed valve help needed cosworth

brought 1 off pjmotorsport at fordfair needed 1 for a 4x4 and paul said to me that the only 1 thats listed is the 2wd 1 now and all i would need to do was swap the wires round 1st thought hmmm sounds dodgy but gave him the benifit of the doubt and its runs like shit spluttery etc but if i unplug it then its ok ? is he right in what he said or have i been fed a load of crap ? ive tryed ringing but a 10 year old answers telling me to ring back

theres only 1 idle valve, i think you are talking about the t.p.s.
the 2wd version (red one) is now obsolete but the 4x4 one (black) should be avalible.

thats what i thought guzzler but then he said if he uplugs it it runs fine.

the car wouldnt run at all with TPS unplugged, well pretty sure it wouldnt.

its not the throttle postion sensor im sure its called the idle speed valve a silver cylinder shaped thing

yep ISCV.

right wiring should be:

if you look at the valve above pin 1 is on your RIGHT.

Pin 1 is 12v (Black\Red wire)
Pin 2 is Pin 34 of ECU (Brown\Yellow Wire)

and just for info.... they colour of teh TPS makes no odds, its the part number that matters, ive seen both red and black 2wd (PF01) and 4wd (PF09)ones

right weve basically put it back to how it originaly was as above but it runs spot on apart from it ticks over at 2000rpm
