There is actually an awful lot of skill involved in getting some of these big horsepower cars off the line fast and cleanly without breaking anything plus you need BIG balls to be able to do the high speed runs as well. Ever done a 180mph+ highspeed run at Brunters???? its NOT as easy as it looks. Fair play to Rod for admitting that he is not upto to geting 101% out of the car and letting someone else hammer it.
I'd prefer to see a decent car getting its balls thrashed off and competing with the topcars rather than a mega money/spec car underperform with a driver who tickles the throttle, can't drive and never pushes the car.
(I don't mean you Rod!) Low blow on Dan though Rod

Firstly who actually gives a foooooook who has the quickest car??? Surely only the people who have something to prove!!! Thats OK if you are part of a racing team, but FFS we are on about road cars here not "Bellend Racing" motorsport team..... or perhaps we are! If people are that nobbed up on there cars why don't they race them properly for real status's in Amateur/semi-professional competitions.
The fact is someone will win and someone will lose, but life (thats real life) will still go on and the losers will never admit defeat and the argument will continue.
A grudge match would be a good idea, but only as a means of fun...... not something that people take personally.
There are cars (well a quantifiable number of anyhow) that are obviously faster, more powerful and better than mine, but who cares..... I don't. We all buy our cars and mod them for our own reasons. I just take pride in the fact that I have a car more powerful than a large majority and enough for me, rare and in awesome condition stuck in the garage to use if at any time should I wish to. I never bought it to show off or try to be better than anyone else (hardly surprising since it hasn't been out of the garage much since last October lol). Perhaps I have grown up..... perhaps others havent.
One person on this scene that is without doubt one of the most down to earth people is Kevin Sharp! He don't give a shit or care about trying to escalate his statue, but he always seems to deliver the goods. It's people like him that deserve glory as they have no hidden agenda's to begin with.
The RS scene is certainly not what it used to be as too many people are trying to prove how big there balls are..... sad really.

also who cares who drives it, its the cars we want to perform, i regularly let my mates drive my car to thrash people who "think" they can drive. i built it so the car is at its best i can do it in my garage, so when it slays other cars i can say "i built that".
who cares, i just wanna see rapid cars racing other rapid cars round a track (drag is for
imo.... and everyone is allowed their opionin aren't they).

Plus if this does happen, can we all be nice to each other, and chat to each other and lend each others spanners and stuff. I've met everyone involved in this personally and all are top blokes.

I was actually suggesting this for the positive reasons - not for a stir etc .
The "fun"grudge match is a good idea for you to get all your cars timed and and interesting read for all of us as there are a few very interesting cars from both tuners - credit to them
Would also mean you get a right good shot on the timing gear not like a v busy shootout day and not the madness that something like TOTB is.
I'm sure/hope the tuners dont have a problem with each other - thought this was of more interest to the customers who seem to be like footie supporters and are getting way mental these days with comments on here LOL. Would love to see karls car recorded though - as I'm sure so many on here would too, shame PF dont do vids to really hear it etc no matter what figures might be recorded. Could have through gear times etc V Rods car as i doubt brunters is big enough to truely represent these cars performance.
Everyone that gets upset to do with the cars needs a little chill - there are deffo more important things out there. I used to be v v carried away on the old RSOC site etc - total nobber and for what? never got me anywhere, used to think it was all competition and took everything too serious slating people i have never even met!
I'm v happy with my cossie and its in a million bits, its just much better fun and enjoy the encouragement from my friends on and off the board
I loved recording the times for my car no matter how poor they were excuses aside - thats why i modded my car - to use and abuse
