I was/am to young to have seen the RS500 days of the british touring car championship im a big fan of those day and have all the videos but to see it happen in real life is amazing.

I really wanna meet Rouse and Brodie and find out if they both where cheating bastards back in the day!

yer but they will drive your car!

atleast you can see if you can go any faster,

and then get them to sit next to you and take them round to give you some pointers,

this is what i am going to do, with one of my cars ,

can you imagine getting help with your driving from one of these top guys,

 

they may be a chance to get one to take you for a couple of laps later in the day in one of my car, but it will all be down to time.

I'm now even more gutted i'm not going!

Anyone wanna give me a ride up!? Is this a 2 day show again?

 

the show is only sunday as saturday is just track day,

the touring cars will be on show and pics ect and then on and off track during the day, with a specail 20 minute session just for them,

with sundays no noice limit we can run these cars as they raced and the sound is amazing,

with the very strict noice regs most tracks have been forced to use,

its very rare to be even able to run these machines,

the club like last year, have paid extra to have the noicey day,

the way donnington get over this is to have our sunday as an offical race day on there calander,

 

these will be there,

 

Methinks Sunday pit passes will be a premium this year with all this hardware and drivers around !!

Well done Martin, from little acorns and all that - I remember when you first just wanted to re-unite your car with Tim Harvey and now look where you're at !

How cool is that though - 9 RS500 touring cars there on the day, and Martin - you OWN three of them!

Tim Harvey is one of my all time favourite drivers, so will be looking forward to seeing him thrash that car round

 

Mike, no need for the prize money.....there are some scores to settle there

If you recall one of those RS500/driver combinations had the lowest budget (owner/driver used to turn up with car on a trailer and no motorhomes etc) yet that car was a LOT faster than the others..........anyone guess (or know) who it was, and why that car had about 50 BHP more than the "works" teams?

 

i wasnt going to go this year,,, but i wont miss this
