Default clutch prob on s2..help!!!!!

right im hoping someone can help,just put a brand new clutch in my series2 and a new box, and a new cable becoz it was not going into gear,done all that and its still there,wont go in at all ,and the clutch pedal is quite light,as apparantly i havent adjusted the ratchet right,and it just wont go into gear anyone please help

The Standard Set-up is supposed to be self-adjusting. Probably needs a new Ratchet Assembly. Alternatively, do the late Pedal Conversion, which is manually adjustable.

Yes. Also, with reference to your other thread, you won't generally hear it clicking (despite what AJ said ). It will only click when needs to take up the adjustment.

The Ratchet assembly is a bastard to do. Are you sure you have assembled it correctly?

If you want my advice, take the Drivers seat out, lay on the floor with your feet on the back seat, get yourself nice and comfortable and have another go.
