Don't need to run one apparently, as the shaft is strong enough to cope (so I have been told by my turbo vendor )

Wil,
Your turbo vendor is best avoided, as they are VERY weak compared to a T4 and MUST have both a dump valve AND the water-cooling attached or they WILL break . They will also only take mild anti-lag, as it does not have a maram shaft .

Depends on boost but if you think about it the less you stall these turbos when you shut the throttle the better
A gt30 will take more than the bigger turbos before it fails

Piece of proverbial, this is on my Sapphire, but you get the idea:

Retail price is £103.98, but as Martin says, you should be able to pick up a deal at one of the shows.

I run this sort / set-up on my Escort as well (but with dual piston internals for the ALS). Best dump valve on market IMO.

IMHO I cant see them bailey recirc ones flowing all that much air, some other aftermarket recird ones the valve opens far further so should dump a lot more air.

Cheers for the pics mike So it dumps the air into the Turbo inlet? and does it come with the connector tubing and what actually goes into the cooler/inlet manifold hose?

Which is why it is so good, dumps just enough air to prevent damaging turbo stall that occurs with big turbos, but not enough that it makes it laggy as fook when the throttle is reapplied .

Jon,
NOTHING, this is where the air comes OUT and goes into the turbo inlet. You have to supply the tubing for this. On my Escort it is some copper heating tube to hide it under the slam panel . "Proper" plumbing . Mr Bailey will have several .

Right so if ive got this correct The air that is to be dumped travels along that long bit of tube and through the dumpvalve and into the turbo inlet and doesnt make a pppttttiiiissssshhhhhh noise

That is correct. However, given the fact that you have a chav-tastic cone filter , the noise will not be very well dampened .
