Mum and Dad are after a good quality kit, must be quite powerfull but also look good.

Theres quite a few out there, but what do you have/recomend?

Any perticular make?

Got the tele but need a decent system lol.

when we got ours (about a year ago) we looked at loads with a budget of around £500, after a couple of weeks of looking we narrowed it down to a Denon, Sony or Yamaha, they were all £500, but in the end we got the Denon, it seemed to be the best all round & looked most stylish. we looked a few months later & the Yamaha had gone down to £275 & the Sony was £300 glad i didnt get one of them i would be gutted.
we got used to ours after a while so i added another Denon amp & set of floorstanders to get the 7.1 sound
the best bet is to check www.richersounds.co.uk they do some good deals on there.
also do they want a box set of seperates?

just been having a look on there.

Might be able to talk them onto seperates as we already have speakers due to our old system fooking up.
There budget is about £400, they have a nice sony av receiver for £249 and its 6.1 600w
Then just get a decent dvd player for about £150

Will have to have a word with them lol.
Could do with a decent av as the hifi they have is ancient
