Would deffo reccommend painting the garage floor, if anything it'll keep the dust down. You'd get floor paint cheaper than 38quid too. Looks a good finish in that picture but so do Big Macs at Mc Donalds !

Make sure you get something that someone else recommends

I painted the floor in the house extension just temporarily while other works being done to keep it all a bit cleaner & the paint i used was crap Treated the floor first, then had a couple of coats & it's wore through & chipped off in places aswell. Was proper floor paint but can't remember the name of it

We do ours every couple of years. Secret is to make sure the floor is very clean before you paint it

Put levelling compound on mine, hasn't cracked and gets lots of abuse. Used B&Q floorpaint and its SHITE. May be oil/petrol etc proof but if you park up with wet tyres it lifts! CRAP! Try and get a 2 pack paint or epoxy coating down if you can afford it.

Keep up the good work and the updates. I want to extend my garage when I finally sell my quad and have the cash.

I've got carpet too...but painted the walls to brighten it up before applying some 'choice' pictures to the walls.

Good luck with the painting.

FPMSL at Mikes Garage.

If I had a garage that big, I would carpet it, put a bed in it and call it another Bedroom. What a waste of space!!!

the correct stuff to use is made by watco
you first need to etch the concrete with cemtetch
and then just apply a couple of coats of watco concrete paint, we usually apply 3 coats ( no need to use epoxy paint really )
http://www.watco.co.uk/asp/autopage....=CFP&Group=FPC
i have a couple of tins of the mid grey going spare at work if you need any

Quick Reply: is it worth doing this to my garage?
