I still think it looks nasty but by God you cannot fail to be impressed. I have a strong disliking for the BMW marque but that is a car that commands respect. Like the original boxy M3 it's a BMW I like

I thought Top Gear was really poor this week.
Just because Clarkson is a technophobe, somehow he has to make that a reflection of the car.
There is no way any Sat Nav would give directions unless you'd actually input a destination.
Not sure why they have the button on the M5 - why not just build it like that in the first place?

Looked a bit naughty on the track with the stig though, it looked highly unstable, and going into hammerhead there was loads of understeer, then it drifted into oversteer, but wanted to go back to understeer.
I think it looks alright, nothing special really, but its far better looking than most new cars now.
With regard to the indicators, how the fuck can any designer let such a shit system like that out on the road? I mean how much work would it be to make it so if you're left indicator is still on, that you would just need to push the lever to indicate left again to cancel it?

This one is currently sitting 5 miles from me for Ł75K 15 over list!

Have to agree on the episode though! The whole Pissed up driver/scooter thing was so staged. They were just testing the A Class vs Citroen
AFAIK Indicators have X number of flashes before they cancel. So if you click the stalk half way down it will indicate 5 (est) times before cancelling. Its so if the driver doesnt click it on properly everyone else knows what hes planning on doing. Most German cars have something similar.
And the Sat Nav works if you programme it or not if you dont.
I think they're running out of ideas for the show now. Done the races. Done caning round the track in a supercar or a hot hatch. Done the late night minicab/scooter type reviews.
Whats left?

That doesn't mean that Alpina or Hartge wont be bale to offer that service.
I didn't see Ford offering an Escort Cosworth for sale to the general public with a T4 running 1.3 bar either
