What would you do?????
Heres the scene........
Popped out last night and on the way home turned into my road following a Corsa.....
We both stopped due to parked cars...... then person in front reverses back straight into me and damages front bumper and cracks her number plate..... (at no point did I move).
Woman in Corsa says to me she doesn't wanna go thru insurance so I get a quote..... £90 for pattern bumper and £150 to spray and fit....
I go round tonight and she then says she wants to go thru insurance as I hit her (says I must have because when she looked in her mirrors I wasn't there) she now says she has a witness as well......wall:
Now what would you do?????
Please bare in mind it was the wifes car and i'm on her insurance so she'll loose 2 years NCB if they find me at fault (she only has 2 years NCB atm)
I can see the insurance company looking at the 2 claim forms....
I was out with my 5 year old daughter and she's no good as a witness...lol
Corsa driver had her and 4 people in car and her "witness"
TBH if it was my car (not the Fester) i'd just leave it and not worry about it but its Gemmas car and shes not happy.....
Steve
Extremely pissed off

Crucial term is "I go round tonight" Tell her that you were trying to do her a fovour. But if she wants to lie in court thats fine. As you managed to get a person in teh houses nearby to be a witness.
EDIT
Actually tell the ins company, then report her to the police for failing to produce documents. AFAIK nobody in her car can be a witness either.
Seriously, remind her that you know where she lives.

I know I said it as a joke. Butknock on some doors. You might be lucky and find someone who saw it. Go back around the same time that it was. Might find a dog walker or something.
Good Luck

the old bill wont attend unless injuries or one party is failing to provide details, I would go throught he insurance, but dont get the car repaired till its been decided who is at fault, then if it goes knock for knock, you dont HAVE to claim ... but I reckon she will change her mind ...

The damage on the Vectra isn't too bad just unlucky to hit the bumper right on the supprt so its stabbed the bumper from inside
so you could easily get a SMART repair done for 70-90 quid, be loads in your yellow pages im sure

Just a thought and worth a blag!
Call her and at the start of the conversation advise her that like yesterdays conversation (at time of accident) and all conversations afterwards you are recording whats being said.
Point out that your sure that both her Insurance company and the court wont look favourably on her 'submiting a fraudulant claim' and 'perguring herself in court' if it comes to that.
Does she now wish to continue along the line of 'her not reversing into you'

Seriously Steve, you got 2 choices!
1. Do EXACTLY WHAT SPADGE SAYS!
or
2. Just get your car repaired abit quick so there's no sign of any damage, then get out and get it weathered in abit, i.e. a few stone chips etc so it doesn't look like fresh paint!
Personally I would do both, numbers 1 then 2 in that order!
