get yourself another fusebox and see if that cures it

now you say that i have seen a lot of posts before in the past asking for them.

are they all the same thoughtout the mk5/6 escor range?
prob i got is they changed things and the wifes car is on the change over year, shape shes got is the shape with the grill in bonnet, this is going on my way of mk5, mk6 mk7 escorts, not the mk5 mk5.5 mk6 if you know what i mean.

i take it you can just unplug everthing and the fuse box comes out?
if thats the case, which modle escort do i need the fuse box from as the wifes is a xr3i

there are different fuse boxes but still fit in mk5 and 6s

basically you need to take your one off which is just plugs

then match it up to that one as some have different mounting ponts for things

there should be a part number at the top of the fuse box aswell

loads of mondeos up there, but there fuse box is under the bonnet though.

there was a ghia up ther 2 weeks ago cos i got the bumper off it, now the fooking things gone! mind you if does look like there having a good clear up, lol

sounds like a mk5b mate, you WILL need to get a box witht he same code as it wont work, trust me!

fans stopped on my cabby, i got a fuse box from a RS2k and it wouldnt start, all the electrical stuff worked, just wouldnt start.

also the boxes are different on the mk6s (rounded front end)

to swap em, dissconnet the battery and unplug the plugs, then unscrew the power cables. make sure you put all the sloid links in the right way round too, i didnt and it nearly caught fire melted the door shut pins lol

i did take a look at a mondeo and the relays were in a box on the inner passaner side wing.

as for the boxes being different, your mk6 is my mk7 mate, i dont do it in mk5 a and b's, but yeah you know the shap car im on about.
i know the mk7 ones are different cos i was gunna fit a icniction switch to a mate mk7 and it plugged in in a different place and the lead was to short cos it came from mk6.

oh well, wifes home now so i better get out there and see what the fook is going on
