Default New fuelling control project underway with L8 & 750cc!!

The car. A lovely 1992 Sapphire Cosworth 4x4.

The Engine. Built by my fair hands.

The new rather large 750cc injectors.

An hour or so of mapping and messing.

The finished Fuel readings at idle.

The finished fuel readings at 3000rpm.

Fooking Goal....

Now its time to see if the ECU is fast enough to keep control of these babys out on the road... watch this space.....

Are 4 x 750cc injectors the equivelent of using 8 x 362cc injectors (i.e. 8 x 803's) or would 4 x 1000cc injectors be a more desireable option? And do you have any plans to test this setup with 1000cc injectors?

Not the whole setup Lee, i have visions of 4 x 1000cc injectors in the top rail and direct port NOS in the lower rail

I believe the RS500 inlet / T4 turbo setup is still very good, just because there are newer setups emerging doesn't mean that the 500 setup is a bad one, especially if you already have the hardware, this ship hasn't sunk yet

Yes, thanks mate.
We were initially concerned that this turbo is seeping oil from the rear seal as it was on its way here this morning after fitment (Brand New MD240R), but it seems to have settled down now. Fingers crossed.....

Danny B,
keep me posted on the 750's where you get thise injectors and how much pm me, they are what I use but there are 2 companies I know off that sell them with there sticker
I deffo get these from someone you have dealt with....

We do more non-Fords than Fords mate, peeps just seem to presume we are Ford only cos i run PassionFord and own a cossie as a daily hack. I just happen to love em myself thats all.

The boost side of things isnt done yet mate, thats tonight/next few days job.

Today was to ascertain if we could utilise closed loop operation and good fuel economy etc as a project... once on boost my software reverts back to standard base fuel mapping anyway.

stu u may as well just give up now -

wasting all your time with this shonky marrelli crap

you know full well it cant be used for "full on big power conversions " its just not good enough for the job

what was that ??

what do you mean youve got perfect fuel control

what on that "old" marrelli system ??

you cant ?

it just wont do it ??

when i saw this post start , and stu said he was undertaking a project of large injectors on level 8 ,

i thought to my self

this isnt a project - you know that what ever you set out to do you do well , and i was just thinking and wondering to my self how long it would take before i saw the LAMBDA = 1

from all this new experimental work that stu/kenny have done with the weber range of ecu's just makes you wonder why people have bothered wasting so much money on an aftermarket unit

especially as 'most' of the functions in the aftermaket unit arnt used by 'most' people anyway , but then what can they do that cant be done on weber for the running of the car ???

excellant job m8 !! if id have know id have come up for a brew

but then again , last time i didnt get home till 4 am

Danny B,
Stu how do you think this will go with an L6, I have the 1000cc injectors and i might be forced to get my car running on L6 the way things are going, as new ECU still not available yet

danny - dont waste your money - stick with the weber - just look at the results man !! spend it elsewhere !!
