Default could possibly be a technical wheel question lol

ok ive got 7 inch wide tsw imolas on my 4x4 saph now, the distance of the spokes from the disc surface is 50mm, not sure what the offset is on them,

now, an 8 inch version would the spoke be half an inch further away from the disc surface or is that not how it works ?

also an et35 offset wheel how does the offset work ????

say an esc cos wheel which is et25 and i put that on a car that was et35, would the spokes again be 10mm closer to the disc ???

hope someone could help with this !

Depends ENTIRELY on the offset of the wheel

I have emailed you an offset calculator.

say an esc cos wheel which is et25 and i put that on a car that was et35, would the spokes again be 10mm closer to the disc ???
Wheels have offsets that are measured in ETs NOT cars , and no, the lower the number the further out FROM the disc the wheel sits. However, this doesn't mean you would have more clearance, as this is also down to the design/shape of the spokes and the Escort rim being dished inwards is particularly poor for clearance.

as above, i have found that even wheels which i would have bet my life on fitting, have not even been close. i tried some rs7's on my fez and they would have needed about 10mm spacer fitted to clear the caliper, now my new escos rims only need a 5mm. definitely try before you buy i say, cos even wheels with the same offset may catch because of the shape like mike said.
